PipesDrill Pipes & Rods
High-tensile seamless steel with precision-threaded tool joints for high torque and deep-hole pressure.
Sri Andavar Engineering Works fabricates a complete range of bore-well drilling tools — drill pipes, rods, drag bits, adapters, subs, crossovers, DTH accessories, casings, drive shoes, fishing tools, and handling fixtures. Every component is engineered for maximum wear resistance, high torque capacity, and long service life in abrasive formations.
We use premium carbon and alloy steels, precision threading, and heavy-duty welding processes. Custom specifications are welcome — share your rig details, thread types, and formation conditions, and we will engineer the right tool for your job.

Mild steel borehole tools for standard water-well applications where budget-friendly options are preferred without compromising basic performance.
| Product | Material | Typical Sizes | Application |
|---|---|---|---|
| MS Drill Rods | Mild Steel (MS) | 1½" – 4½" OD, 3m / 6m lengths | Standard water-well drilling in soft to medium formations |
| MS Drill Pipes | Mild Steel (MS) | 2" – 6" OD, API & custom threads | Shallow to medium depth borewell operations |
| MS Drag Bits (3-Wing) | Mild Steel with hardened cutting edges | 4½" – 12" diameter | Soft clay, sand, and gravel formations |
| MS Drag Bits (Multi-Wing) | Mild Steel with carbide-tipped wings | 6" – 16" diameter | Medium formations, higher penetration rates |
| MS Mud Buckets | Mild Steel (MS) | 4" – 10" diameter | Bailing mud and cuttings from borehole |
| MS Adapters & Subs | Mild Steel (MS) | Custom thread combinations | Connecting different rod/pipe thread types |
| MS Stabilizers | Mild Steel (MS) | Matching drill string OD | Reducing deviation in uncased holes |
| MS Fishing Tools | Mild Steel (MS) | Custom per lost-in-hole scenario | Retrieving broken rods, bits, and downhole components |

Hardfacing is the process of applying a wear-resistant overlay — typically tungsten carbide — to the cutting surfaces, wings, and contact points of drilling tools. This dramatically extends tool life in abrasive formations where unprotected steel would wear within hours.
At SAEW, we hardface drag bits, stabilizers, augers, reamers, and DTH bit faces. We also rebuild worn tools — restoring cutting geometry and applying fresh carbide overlays at a fraction of new-tool cost.
Highest quality carbon steels, alloy steels, and tungsten carbide for high-friction, high-impact drilling environments.
Strict tolerances so every thread, joint and connection fits perfectly — minimizing drill string failure.
We custom-fabricate tools specific to your rig, thread requirements and local terrain conditions.
Our fabrication shop is optimized to get custom or repaired parts back on site fast — minimizing rig downtime.
