How CO₂ Laser Cutting Works
CO₂ laser cutting uses a high-power laser beam generated in a gas resonator, focused through optics onto the metal surface. The intense heat melts and vaporizes material along the programmed path while assist gas (oxygen or nitrogen) blows away molten metal, producing a clean, narrow kerf.
A CNC controller guides the laser head across the sheet following your CAD profile with micron-level positioning accuracy. Because the laser beam is non-contact, there is no tool wear — every part in a batch is identical.
